- At SSCAC, we stand for the most vulnerable in our communities our elderly and disabled neighbors, our children, our unemployed friends. Since 1965, we have provided opportunities for education, training, and employment for low income people living in all our South Shore communities. Last year, we stood for over 27,000 people, so they could live with dignity and participate in the workings of our communities. We also stand for our local economy as it recovers from the recession. We employ over 150 people and do business with more than 250 companies, large and small, from Hull to Cape Cod and the Islands.
