• The California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) is a membership-based advocacy group committed to advancing the role of energy storage in the electric power sector through policy, education, and outreach. CESA was founded in January 2009 by Janice Lin, Managing Partner of Strategen Consulting, and Don Liddell, Principal of Douglass & Liddell.Our mission is to make energy storage a mainstream energy resource that accelerates the adoption of renewable energy and promotes a more efficient, reliable, affordable, and secure electric power system in California.CESA has made grid storage a key focus area for California and other policymakers. Now they understand the tremendous role energy storage can play to optimize the electric power system. Key achievements include:California Energy Storage Bill AB 2514 - Provided leadership and framework for utility procurement of energy storage- Successfully advocated for proposed decision issued by CPUC for 1.325 Gigawatts of Energy Storage Our membership includes technology manufacturers, renewable energy and energy storage project developers, systems integrators, software providers, electrical contractors, and other clean tech industry leaders. We are technology and business model-neutral, and are supported solely by the contributions and coordinated activities of our members.
