The company was founded in 2011 by Elizabeth Chabner Thompson, MD, MPH, a New York Radiation Oncologist and former breast surgery patient who observed both personally and professionally the acute need for a comprehensive line of well-designed, high-quality products that would improve the patient experience before, during and after surgery and other treatment for cancer, and other surgeries and conditions. Soon hospitals began to take notice, and now give BFFLBags to their patients.
