- Columbus School of Chinese was established 2010 and has worked with over 500 students, both children and adults with the number growing exponentially each year.CSC was founded by Christopher Stellato. Chris holds a master's degree in Advanced Chinese Language and Culture. CSC classes are taught by a team of native or near-native Chinese language experts, all of whom have advanced degrees in either Chinese Language Pedagogy, Chinese Linguistics or Second Language Acquisition.At CSC we utilize the Performed Culture teaching method. Students are taught not only how to communicate in Chinese, but how to act and think in a culturally appropriate manner. This teaching methodology is proven to have produced some of the best non-native speakers in the world! Our approach is in strong contrast to most other language programs that teach passively without meaningful contexts or scenarios.We provide group instruction, private instruction and distance learning instruction.
