- Kids In The Middle® (KITM) is a non-profit organization that helps children, parents and families thrive during and after divorce through counseling, education and support.The agency was created in 1977 to make the trauma of divorce less hurtful for children. It combines four essential elements to achieve the most productive results:Age-appropriate counseling strategies for childrenEffective co-parenting education and counseling for parentsExpert family therapyConfidential support for all family members involvedKITM is the only organization in the region that offers extensive group, individual and family counseling services for children and their parents. It is a nationally accredited agency that provides a family approach to divorce counseling. KITM is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis and is affiliated with the Missouri Foundation for Health, the St. Louis County Children's Service Fund, and the St. Louis Mental Health Board.
