- Cedar Lake's nonprofit system provides residential services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabiliities (IDD) in the Louisville Kentucky region. Operating in three divisions: Cedar Lake Lodge, Inc. a residential healthcare and rehabilitation agency and center of excellence for individuals with IDD. Cedar Lake Residences, Inc. providing an array of community-based housing and support services, including HUD housing and Medicaid Waiver options. Cedar Lake Foundation, Inc. serves as our official public charity and provides need-based financial assistance to indigent residents and clients who are without sufficient resources.Founded in 1970 by parents of individuals with IDD who rejected bleak institutional options and insufficient community support options, Cedar Lake has grown to become one of the Louisville regions largest and most repected nonprofit organizations (ranked by Business First as the 11th largest in Oct 2016). Cedar Lake's consolidated revenues will approach $25 million in 2017, with net assets of over $40 million. Residential options, housing, services and supports include ICF/MR licensed residential healthcare and rehabilitation agency services, licensed group home, Medicaid-SCL waivered staffed residences, HUD housing options, Medicaid transportation, adult day health services, case management, respite care, In-home supports and transitional living options.
