• Sunrise's mission is to aid children, youth and families in becoming responsible, participating citizens and leaders.With over fourteen years experience providing high-quality educational and youth development programs, Sunrise has a proven track record and strong working relationships within the diverse South Philadelphia neighborhood (19148 zip code) where we provide academic enrichment, career and college programming. This experience and knowledge inform the current programs and supports Sunrise offers, as well as our strong partnerships with our host sites Southwark Elementary and South Philadelphia High. Our mission is solely focused on advancing the academic achievement and development of struggling students. Our approach unites schools, families, and communities to support young people in staying on track to high school graduation and connecting to post-secondary education and training. Sunrise of Philadelphia, a Pennsylvania 21st Century Learning Center, provides After School and Summer programming for students in Philadelphia in grades Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
