• Mills Uniform Company was founded in San Francisco in 1947 by Sue Mills. With a background in clothing design and four children in school uniforms, Sue knew she could improve upon the offerings in the market. She began with a small shop on Sacramento Street and was soon servicing a number of the citys finest private schools. More than Sixty-eight years later, schools from Honolulu to New York City, including some of most respected in the country, shop choose Mills to supply their uniforms. We create programs that reflect their values and communities and deliver service they can count on. Parents shop directly in our retail locations nationwide, online with customized webstores, through our year-round customer service and at on-campus and other events. Mills' staff is the key to our success and longevity. With deep expertise in the uniform business, our employees average in excess of fifteen years with Mills and prior experience in the garment and uniform industry. We remain one of the few privately-held companies in the school uniform industry with active family involvement - our President & CEO is Sue Mills granddaughter. Our exclusive business is school uniforms; we are experts at designing, sourcing, producing, fitting and delivering school uniforms and satisfied parents.
