My name is Dr. A. Katz. I am a licensed psychologist offering psychological services to adults, adolescents, couples and families in Evergreen, Colorado.I treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and bereavement. In addition, I provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples who are dissatisfied with their interpersonal relationships or with their career and who aspire to lead a more meaningful and productive life. I also specialize in GLBT and women's issues and proud to be called a feminist psychologist.I administer, score and interpret standardized psychological tests, including intelligence, objective, neuropsychological, and projective personality tests. I am experienced in conducting fitness for duty evaluations and custody evaluations. I tailor my approach to each individuals needs and goals, and work collaboratively with each client. I utilize several different treatment modalities for understanding, interpreting and developing treatment plans for each clients presented difficulties. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Insight Oriented Psychotherapy (Psychodynamic Psychotherapy), Existential Psychotherapy; Brief Psychotherapy and Family Systems Psychotherapy.
