- Bent On Learning (BOL) is a nonprofit organization committed to teaching yoga to children in New York City public schools as a way to directly promote health conscious, learning-ready students. We believe that:The culture of todays schools and society leave a significant portion of children without any physical conditioning, creating a class of students whose health and learning readiness is below standardThe social and learning environments of many inner city kids leads to student stress and creates distractions that impair learning and child developmentYoga is unique in its ability to quickly and efficiently reduce stress, increase focus and address a child's attitude about their physical and mental wellnessOur mission is to teach kids how to be more focused, healthier and happier in learning and in life.
