- Dream in Plastic was born in a basement in Brooklyn by childhood best friends Jenny and Diana. They wanted to create a website that offered a culmination of everything they love and shop for themselves. They had always been notoriously good gift-givers, and extended their playful and fun attitudes to the product offerings on the site. Dream in Plastic now offers an eclectic mix of art, housewares, designer vinyl art toys, stationery, cameras, accessories and more. In 2009 they opened the first retail location in the hip Hudson River town of Beacon, NY and also have monthly art exhibits featuring local artists and custom toy designers.
