Housed in an 1871 building located in one of upstate New Yorks best downtowns, Troy Innovation Garage is 14,000 square feet of custom-designed space. From 1900 and into the 1920s the building housed Troy Automobile Exchange, a highly successful Pierce Arrow car dealership and garage. Todays post-industrial design incorporates many original materials and details. Massive steel beams, brick walls and a soaring ceiling were all exposed during the renovation. Old wood and metal were reclaimed and then recycled for use in todays floors, stairs and wainscoting. Spark Exchange is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting creative economy start-up companies. Housed within the walls of Troy Innovation Garage, Spark Exchange will present its members entry into an ecosystem consisting of like-minded entrepreneurs and established businesses as well as essential infrastructural support.
