- In 1986, Rick and Anna Lee Woods, with a partner, started a waterproofing company called Basement DeWatering Systems Metro-East, Inc. In 1988, Rick bought out his partner and the name was changed to Woods Waterproofing, Inc. The company name was then changed to Woods Basement Systems, Inc. in 1998.We have always maintained our corporate identity and all contractual warranties. There are over 300+ Basement Systems dealers in seven countries. Ricks wife Anna Lee, son Wayne, daughter-in-law Susanne, daughter Susan, son-in-law Tim and cousin Chris Blickenstaff are all management level employees of Woods Basement Systems, with his grandkids: Alli, Drew, Nick, Jack, twins Sophie & Lily, Rachel, Mary, and Sarah being the real bosses.As you can see, this is a family business. Today, we are one of the largest basement waterproofing, basement wall straightening and foundation piering contractors in Illinois and Missouri. In 2005 we became the worlds largest Basement Systems dealer topping those 300+ dealers in seven countries!
