- In the past 55 years, Junior Achievement of South Central PA (JA) has become a cornerstone for financial and business education. Reaching more than 70,000 students with the help of 5,700 volunteers in the 2015-16 school year, Junior Achievement addresses critical community needs through experiential, hands-on programs. JA's vision is to empower young people to own their economic success. Through participation in JA programs, students see the relevance of what they are learning in the classroom and its application to the real world, and recognize the value of an education.As a business-based nonprofit organization, JA replies on the involvement of local companies for both volunteer and financial support.
