- Our Mission: To assist youth in overcoming challenges and becoming healthy adults through adventure-based counseling.A proven alternative to traditional counseling, Adventure Works is committed to offering adventure therapy services to at-risk youth in DeKalb County. The primary goal of adventure therapy is teaching the life skills necessary to become a self-sufficient, confident, and mentally healthy adult.Adventure Works provides youth, families, and schools the opportunity to experience mental health treatment in exciting and non-traditional ways. Evidenced based treatment is used while clients participate in activities like rock climbing, archery, hiking, canoeing, exploring, orienteering, and survival skills.
