- OUR MISSIONInvest in Girls teaches high school girls financial concepts, exposes them to professional women role models, and introduces them to financial services companies and career paths in finance to empower them to become tomorrow's leaders.3-YEAR PROGRAM MODELInvest in Girls is a 3-year afterschool financial education program encompassing three components: FINANCIAL WORKSHOPSIIG hosts four 90-minute interactive, blended learning financial workshops each year at each school. Over the three years, girls learn the B.I.G concepts: Budgeting, Investing, and Giving. Through our online portal, girls are able to access workshop materials anytime. IIG is able to teach through multiple forms of media. Goal: Teach girls the important financial concepts and 'FINGLISH' (Financial English) they will need to be financially independent and successful. Learn more here! ROLE MODEL EXPOSUREEach month, girls learn about new career paths in finance and financial services as well as important intangible life skills to help them navigate the world. Through our online portal, girls watch a video of a woman in the industry who has experience related to the concept covered during their academic year, and explore multimedia resources related to the same subject. Our role models provide an introduction into finance careers, a deeper understanding of financial concepts, and intangible life skills. Goal: Expose girls to strong women, new career paths, and important life skills. Learn more here!INDUSTRY EXPOSURE TRIPSEach year, girls visit two companies in the finance world. Girls learn about a variety of career paths, meet and connect with successful women industry leaders, and meet girls from other participating schools. Goal: Expose girls to new career paths in the finance and financial services world.
