Description

• All of us who professionally use the mass media are shapers of society. We can vulgarize that society. We can brutalize it. Or we can help lift it onto a higher level.- William Bernbach.William Bernbach, the American advertising legend, described what we feel is our responsibility to society each year as we bring to life the Global Peace Film Festival that was established to utilize the power of the motion picture to further the goal of peace on earth. The Global Peace Film Festival is a celebratory event and a place to honor those who promote global and community awareness of peace and environmental sustainability through the most powerful form of communication in our world today. It draws together filmmakers and filmgoers from all walks of life into a community of people inspired to take action in their daily lives to leave the world a more peaceful place than they found it. The Global Peace Film Festival presents a world-class program that has included Academy Award® winning and nominated films and acclaimed work from around the globe. Programming also includes work from local filmmakers and from young artists whose films that have not yet been seen elsewhere.
