• Gerry Gallagher founded Leather Surgeons in New York City in 1988 after studying at FIT and apprenticing under Domenic Rivierlo, a highly revered Italian artisan. Now, after nearly 30 years, Gerry is regarded as one of the last true master leather craftsmen in the United States who can turn an exotic alligator skin into a luxury handbag worth tens of thousands of dollars. Completing the Leather Surgeons team are Gerrys sons, Cory and Hunter, who have been apprenticing under their father for the last ten years, becoming masters themselves. Leather Surgeons is a strong family business with a true passion for authentic craftsmanship.We are excited to announce that we are now officially opening our doors to the public, welcoming your business to ours.
