- Among the myriad of Residential Treatment Centers nationwide, not one has been designed and created explicitly for adopted youth and their families. Until now.Current studies indicate that 30 to 40% of the clients at adolescent Residential Treatment Centers are adopted.Thousands of these adopted youth and their families are treated to a cookie cutter approach geared for the general adolescent population and not to their specific needs.We operate out of an adoption-based paradigm that defines our entire program: An understanding of the dynamics of the adoption triad. An advisory board composed of esteemed professionals in the adoption community. Professional and competent trauma-informed individual, group, and family clinical treatment. Recreational and other activities that are designed to facilitate trust and attachment. Increased family interaction through video-conferencing and face-to-face visits. Resources to facilitate the integration of each part of the adoption triad when available. Psychoeducation and workshops for family members specific to the adopted family's needs.
