By the early 1970s responding to the demands of our clients, the company started performing structural steel fabrication and erection in addition to miscellaneous steel. Subsequently Doherty Ornamental Iron, Inc. changed its name to Doherty Steel, Inc. in 2006. Today James Dohertys children lead the company; Lisa Stephen as Secretary/Treasurer and Dennis Doherty as President. Doherty Steel is an AISC certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector.
