- Powers Engineering, Inc. was founded by its President, Lise D. Powers, in Evansville, Indiana in 2005. Powers Engineering, Inc. is certified as a Women Owned Business by several agencies.Powers Engineerings noteworthy project experience in water resources and civil engineering is underpinned by substantial proficiency in hydrologic & hydraulic modeling and design. This experience includes the application of numerous software packages for the simulation of sewer and storm sewer system hydraulics including: USEPA SWMM, XP Software XPSWMM, Pizer Incorporated HYDRA, transient flow modeling software, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS as well as Bentleys Haestad Methods. Powers Engineering has developed hydrologic and hydraulic models, which address various client needs including: the planning of capital projects in order to meet consent orders and consent decrees, the support of Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) objectives including combined sewer overflow storage tunnelsthe need to address combined sewer overflow basins projects (CSOs) as well as sanitary sewer overflow basins projects (SSOs), the design of combined sewer separation projects, and the development of inflow and infiltration reduction projects. Our growing design portfolio displays experience with gravity sanitary and storm sewer designs, combined sewer storage tunnels, storm sewer and detention pond sizing, open channel designs and floodplain delineation, low-pressure sewer designs, water main design as well as projects encompassing green infrastructure and sustainable BMPs solutions and designs.
