• The New Orleans Coffee Festival is a local organization devoted to the celebration of people coming together to enjoy drinking and learning about Coffee.The first event is on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in New Orleans at the Freret Market from noon to 5pm. There will be over 100 vendors, including arts, crafts, produce, and foods, with 2 Music Stages featuring live music.Attendees will be those with a passion for coffee, who enjoy sharing good times with other coffee-lovers, and who are interested in learning more about coffees origins, roasting, grinding, blending, brewing, cupping, food recipes, and the health benefits associated with it. This is not a trade show; it is open to the public. It is a unique opportunity for consumers to meet their favorite coffee roasters, while they relax in the company of friends, both old and new. The specially designed Coffee Cupping Flight Ticket is a highlight of the New Orleans Coffee Festival, which entitles attendees to select up to 4 different 4 oz. tastes of coffee brands/blends for just $7. There is no admission fee.Most are amazed that a New Orleans Coffee Festival has been so long in the making, but this eagerly anticipated is at last finally here! Many have pondered the adventure of assembling such a participatory inclusive coffee experience, and the excitement is growing. The New Orleans Coffee Festival organization will be facilitating various educational opportunities, including Coffee Cupping Seminars for individual coffee-lovers at local venues such as museums, culinary, music and art shows, with guest speakers being available for groups and tourist events, as well as advanced seminars for retailers.The New Orleans Coffee Festival serves to provide a direct source of coffee knowledge and passion, in a fun, welcoming, home-grown people-focused environment.
