Human Pictures

Description

• Human Pictures seeks to move beyond the traditional role of a production company and establishes itself as a multimedia movement for social transformation. We collaborate with organizations and artists around the world to create powerful media content that denounces, challenges and inspires. We focus on documentaries, narrative films and advocacy campaigns. Our documentary projects seek to denounce injustices against and empower communities who find themselves under or misrepresented by the dominant media. We believe in the power of complex filmmaking to push viewers to care, understand, relate and act.Through our narrative features and short films we want to move audiences to question and reflect on our society and the way we live our lives. Our films try to stress the humanity that links all of us and that ultimately imbues us with compassion and the desire for justice. Our advocacy initiatives seek to subvert the advertising paradigm in three fronts: By empowering socially transformative companies that have sought a balance between net profit and shared profit. By launching our own campaigns that challenge, provoke and urge people into action. And by challenging the way that traditional, commercial products are advertised through the use of stories, characters or formats that subvert social paradigms around race, gender, class and sexuality.
