• ATMA provides workshop environments for unique American artistic works to be developed cooperatively, and be presented to expand both the parameters that are usually applied to practitioners of that art as well as the expectations of audiences accustomed to seeing works developed within those parameters.As a Motion Art organization we seek to create and present works that combine film, music, sets, props and movement not unlike visual poetry or theatrical puzzle. It is this sharp departure from the ordinary and expectable that helps ATMA attract broad audiences and expose them to dance, film, theater and comedy.ATMAs venues include theaters, community centers, schools, colleges and universities in New York City and across the country. In addition to performance art, our delivery through workshops and lecture-demonstrations advance public knowledge of, interest and participation in movement on stage and film.ATMA provides adults and children an affordable opportunity to see and hear performers musical and choreographic compositions.ATMA encourages the development of choreographers, dancers, musicians, composers and visual artist and seeks to generally educate adults and children to an education of the performing arts.ATMA develops After School Programs that bring arts education to schools and give students the opportunity to explore theater, new media & visual arts.
