• Bowdoin Medical Group joined the Martin's Point Health Care family in October, 2009. Martins Point is a health care organization leading the way to provide better care at lower costs in the communities we serve. As a not-for-profit organization, our primary mission is helping our patients and health plan members live healthier lives, with the promise of treating each one with warmth, care, and concern. Martins Point is comprised of a multi-specialty medical group with nine primary care health centers in Maine and New Hampshire where most major insurances are accepted. Martins Point also administers three health plans: the only 5-Star Medicare Advantage plan in Maine, the US Family Health Plan for military families and retirees throughout most of northern New England and New York, and a new program called MaineSense for employers in Maine. We believe that understanding both the clinical side of health care as well as the health plan administrative side gives us the insight we need to make meaningful improvements to the health care system.
