He was Senior Copywriter at Reader's Digest for eight years, and has won more public speaking contests than anyone in Europe.In August 2010, the BBC invited the public to submit mini speeches to the nation, to mark the 70th anniversary of Churchill's wartime rallying speech. They chose his and placed it on the Home page of the BBC News website ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11026148)A national newspaper employed him to double classified ad revenue in a single year. Using daring tactics they had never seen before he tripled the revenue in just 10 months. He then joined a magazine publisher as advertisement manager and was Managing Director within a year.In public speaking he has been UK Champion a record seven times, and is the UK's first and only World No.2. He is one of a handful of speakers who founded the Professional Speakers Association (PSA) in 1999, and was its Marketing Director for the first four years.He has published seven books on communication skills.
