• Terp Thon is a student-run organization at the University of Maryland that works year-round to raise money and awareness for Children's National Health System in Washington D.C., our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Our efforts culminate in a 12-hour Miracle Network Dance Marathon every March, where we give back and celebrate our Miracle Kids. We stand for 12 hours to represent the typical length of a nurse's shift at Children's National. Terp Thon is a part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement that is taking over nationwide. More than 300 schools across the country are joining together, all raising money for their local Childrens Miracle Network Hospital, as a part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon family. Last year, Terp Thon raised $728,453.16, making us the ninth top fundraising Miracle Network Dance Marathon in the nation. Terp Thon is now going into its eighth year, and is the fastest growing Dance Marathon in the nation. We have raised over $2.5 million since 2009. Every year we break fundraising records, and we will continue you to do so as long as there are kids in need.
