• Bantam Pharmaceutical is a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel small molecule cancer therapeutics that are effective in KRAS positive solid tumors. Bantams candidate drug is selectively active against a diverse group of KRAS positive solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Bantams compounds act as potent cell-cycle inhibitors at the G0/G1 interface. The mechanism of action is quite distinct from known check point inhibitors, and other compounds acting on the cell cycle. In addition, these compounds have a profound effect on cancer cell metabolism. The compounds activity against these interrelated features of cancer biology provides the opportunity for a stratified biomarker approach as either a single agent or in combination with current and emerging therapeutics to substantially improve cancer patient outcomes. The Bantam approach has led to the identification of unique pharmacophores including a drug candidate and potential back-ups. The company has a strong intellectual property position with market exclusivity through 2037.
