• We exist to ensure our imaginations outdoors are never be limited by the things we can carry. We innovate hardware through an open, global laboratory of outdoor enthusiasts and professionals whom inform product ideas, development and prototypes at the speed of need. We are an action tool company. We are DMOS. In 2015, we were founded on a simple desire to innovate the tools that we carry into the backcountry, including making them smaller and stronger. Our first product idea, the Kicker Tool, was a total novelty. But it was the people that it was conceived for whom helped us turn it into a mountain necessity. Through a crowdfunding campaign and a unique co-creation process, we enlisted some of the biggest names in action sports to help us design, refine and push the possibilities of our prototype until it was something they loved and couldnt live without. And our journey with our customers has been a shared one ever since. Nothing we do is created without the influence or validation of the people we serve. Their passion fuels us and their ideas power us. We believe innovation is not a solo sport. So we never create product for adventure junkies. We create it with them. In the early days of the company, we talked a lot about our desire to design action tools that gave us more freedom and control outdoors. Tools that allowed us to do my own stuff, or D-M-O-S. It was a phrase so often repeated that it not only became our internal rallying cry for the independence we sought, it also became the name of our brand.
