• JPSOUTHPACIFIC is a progressive collection of my design work. My love for my roots and culture coupled with my experience in the manufacturing side of the fashion industry were driving forces to start my lil' design label. My most current work is my clothing line. It consists of men's t-shirts, tanks and tops for ladies, hoodies, a variety of hat styles, and limited edition ie lavalava. Every shirt design has an inside story to it, explaining the art piece's inspiration or the process to create it. This story is literally printed on the inside of the garment. The idea of having a story to go with the artwork makes the shirt more than just a piece to wear; it's a piece of our cultural heritage, told to one another much in the way our ancestors told stories and legends that were passed forward to the next generation. My style of apparel design draws from the island, street and beach cultures that I grew up with living here in California and in American Samoa. I've also been blessed to work with some of the top surf and skate brands such as Stussy, Billabong, and Quiksilver whether freelancing artwork or manufacturing their goods. The next stage of development for JPSOUTHPACIFIC is the creation of original art pieces. These pieces will draw inspiration from culture, music, the Word, family, friends, and nature.
