• Carr Research Laboratory, Inc. (CRL) has provided an array of environmental services to a wide range of clients for more than 37 years. Eighty percent of our services are water related, including wetland delineation and replication, wildlife habitat evaluation, environmental impact analysis, river hydraulics and hydrology, floodplain study, stormwater best management practices, watershed water budget calculation, groundwater impact study, sediment and erosion control, water quality monitoring, soil permeability testing and sieve analysis, hydrogeological study and design of on-site wastewater disposal areas for large on-site wastewater treatment plants. CRL has delineated and studied thousands of wetlands, streams and rivers for flood control, river restoration, and state, Federal, and local permitting purposes, which include the Harbor Brook 1992 flood investigation in Meriden, Connecticut, Bussey Brook in Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, and Dorchester Brook in Easton of Mass. CRL also has designed and reviewed over 250 stormwater management facilities and operation/maintenance plans, erosion and sediment controls, accidental spill and mosquito control plans according to Best Management Practices standards for commercial, industrial, and residential sites. CRL conducted hundreds of hydrogeologic studies for siting and sizing on-site wastewater disposal area and stormwater management facilities.
