- The Playmakers Foundation was begun by Coach Roz with his passion for helping lost kids he coached in football. Our annual free football summer camp brings together high school whose Coaches want their players exposed to our Winning with Honor Philosophy. Coach Roz wanted to help more kids, so he formed Playmakers Character and Leadership Academy, which is held year-round at schools across the Sacramento Region.Our mission is to empower at-risk youth (ages eight to twelve) to invest in themselves and grow to become people who will contribute to their families and community and can overcome life's obstacles. The three main components of our academy curriculum are character and leadership development, increasing reading skills, and outside sports/recreation.
