• Hi, my name is Sara- thanks for visiting my network! I would love for you to get to know me as the person behind the work.I grew up in Savannah, GA. I went to college at USC, where I met my wonderful husband! I work as a registered nurse in Columbia, SC but I have my own photography business on the side. Don't get me wrong- I love my work as a nurse, but my real passion is for photography. I have loved taking pictures ever since I can remember.I come from an artistic family- my grandfather and father were hobby photographers and my mother is an oil painter. I was a ballet/modern dancer for 18 years before I began nursing. My hobbies are painting, scrapbooking, playing the violin, playing tennis with my husband, water skiing, gyrotonic, and running. My serious interest in photography began with nature and landscape shots. In 2007 I did my first portrait sessions and quickly discovered that this is where the fun starts! I started my own company in 2008 and began shooting weddings that same year.I am a lifestyle & documentary photographer and I am constantly motivated by creativity to try new and different things while also tying in some classics. I strive to capture every possible angle and emotion. In each session I go for the whole spectrum: serious, posed, funny, candid, romantic, classic, sentimental, and detailed images.I tailor my sessions to fit my client's style while still adding a little of my own touch. I love details and lots of color, though sometimes you can't beat an awesome black and white image!I have been married since October 2007 to my amazing husband Wesley. (You can see Wes and our puppy Oliver in my 'Just for Fun' gallery.) Wes is incredibly supportive of my passion for photography and assists me at many of my shoots. Hes developed his own photography skills and is a great second-shooter at my weddings, too. We love being able to work as a husband and wife team, and you benefit by getting two for the price of one!The one thing that I cannot go without mentioning is the fact that I am saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Without Him, my photography skills and success would be nonexistent. My goal is to glorify Him in all I do!The Lord has truly blessed me in this business.
