• Happy Face Apparel (HFA) started in 2014 by Celeste Brennan, a nurse and mother of an autistic child. HFA offers helpful clothing solutions and accessories (tools) for parents with a special needs child who may have autism, a feeding tube, oral motor or sensory challenges. While raising her autistic son who also used a feeding tube, she found there were limited options to prevent him from undressing during the day and night. She also needed a clothing option to protect her son's feeding tube, as he tended to fidget with it and even pull it out, which can lead to serious medical consequences. Celeste needed solutions to keep her son comfortable, but also to give her more control. Thus, the beginning of Happy Face Apparel & Accessories an online store where parents can find clothing solutions and tools to help them with day-to-day care giving. The adaptive clothing line includes undergarments such as Snap Suits (similar to a onesie), Zipback Rompers, pajamas, and swimwear. Specifically, the clothing is modified to make it difficult for a child to undress, but easy for a caregiver to put on and take off. Parents can rely on the clothing to stay on, day or night. For children who wear diapers, the clothes keep their hands out of messes. For kids with feeding tubes, Happy Face Apparel offers clothing solutions that provide easy access to the feeding tube for the caregiver, yet also protects the tube if a child tends to fidget with it or pull it out. The exclusive HFA Drainage Circle is another solution to protect a childs feeding tube, while also absorbing leakage from the tube and keeping the child comfortable.
