- BOXeight is a collaborative arts organization, founded by artist/photographer/designer Peter Gurnz, dedicated to the rejuvenation of a downtown arts community and thriving neighborhood. Its 12,000 sq ft. Gallery and studio is housed as the cornerstone of a downtown resurgence within the Los Angeles arts community. Our structure of support embodies likeminded city leaders, including Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, curators, real estate professionals, community activists, moguls and artists all believing in one goal: to utilize combined resources to provide inspiration, support, affordable studio space, entertainment, fun and commerce to Downtown Los Angeles. BOXeight is steadily becoming one of the leading arts organizations in Los Angeles by nurturing emerging talent, establishing a network between the artistic community in its entirety (art/fashion/music) and bridging the gap among artists and their neighborhoods one square foot at a time.
