- The mission of The Arc in Palm Beach County is to improve the lives of children and adults who have developmental and mental disabilities, as well as their families, through services,advocacy and education. Since 1958 The Arc has been a leader in advocating and serving people with disabilities and their families. We are proud of our continuum of care that recognizes the importance of helping people to reach their potential and meet the diverse needs of people with varying disabilities in our community. The success of our programs represents The Arc's commitment to focusing on the individual developmental needs of our consumers, inclusion in our community and family support. Nationally recognized programs such as Potentials Charter Schools and Employment Services demonstrate the use of best practices and model programs to ensure our consumers have access to services meeting the highest quality standards.
