- Established in 2010 by Karel Van Der Linden and his wife, Mari-Elena, Fly High Lexington is proud to serve Davidson County and the cities of Lexington and Thomasville. This full service FBO (Fixed Base Operation) offers Pilot services, Jet A and AvGas fuel, Shell Fuel, Maintenance and a Flight School. Based at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, North Carolina the airport features a 5000 foot runway and corporate hangars. Karel who will run the operational team brings more than 25 years of experience in financial and operational management gained in diverse accounting, aviation, Fixed Base Operations, hotels and casinos. Most recently Karel served Mercury Air Centers, a collection of 30 Fixed Base Operations as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Officer. He was also Vice President, Finance and Interim Manager for Air Aruba, N.V.
