• The Capital City Education Alliance generates and distributes resources for the benefit of students, schools, and other education focused nonprofits in the Greater Hartford Region. Our overall goal is to maximize the potential of students and prepare them to succeed in life. Our 2 signature programs are: Let's Paint! - teaches middle and high school students workforce readiness skills by engaging them in hands-on, project-based learning of color theory, design and commercial painting. In addition, on Work With Us Wednesdays (Summer) or Lets Paint Saturday (School Year) individuals and teams can join us to paint and informally mentor our students. Not only do we help transform a place with paint, we transform a teen by teaching them skills to succeed in a job. Let's Chat! is a diverse network of professionals representing a wide range of occupations to help expose the youth of Greater Hartford to the wealth of career paths that exist locally helps. Lets Chat! Helps schools connect with business professionals who can share their career/vocation to motivate students to think broader about their future. These informal talks, which require a very low time commitment, help to put context around why kids study science, math, and writing to help them build a future. Any individual can be part of our database and share their career and how school assisted in achieving their goals. Simply fill out the form on our website.
