- Pappas Organic is a high quality organic olive oil that is being produced at the village of Agios Dimitrios, which is located in the prefecture of Laconia. It began with the owner of the land George Kostakis back in 1967 and the initial 40 acres of land he worked with and planted with olive trees. During the middle years of his life he also became a priest and preached at the village church, earning him the name Pappas George. He later acquired more land and we can now produce around 18 tons per year in accordance with seasonal and land variables. He learned to cultivate and refine olive trees using various techniques and methods and had previously worked with different varieties that he sold locally. He has currently achieved an excellent taste with our Koroneiki variety and organic production.Our brand Pappas Organic is a tribute to him and the time he dedicated in refining his olive oil trees and the organic olive oil we want to bring to kitchens worldwide. The nutrients and flavor are preserved because the oil is not chemically refined or heat-treated and there is no cholesterol or carbohydrates in the olive oil.
