• The Cannabis Consumers Coalition is a consumer advocacy organization that acts as a watchdog over the growing cannabis industry. As a membership organization, we work collectively to educate consumers and the general public. The Cannabis Consumers Coalition strives to set industry standards in the areas of public safety, quality control, pricing, pesticide and fertilizer use, labeling, testing, customer service, ethical business practices, consumer rights in the workplace, and any emerging issues impacting cannabis consumers. The Cannabis Consumers Coalition was created out of a need for a voice for all cannabis consumers, medical and recreational. The emerging cannabis industry has been dominated by trade organizations lobbying for regulations that benefit big business, however, there were no organizations that focused solely on the consumer. The Cannabis Consumers Coalition emerged to fill that need. Through collective action, member meetings and calls to action, members play an active role in assuring consumer rights in the cannabis industry. What differentiates us from other cannabis rating organizations is that we are a non-profit consumer advocacy group that goes beyond providing ratings and also investigates to find the truth behind good or poor reviews. Since we do not sell advertising, we provide unbiased reporting that can be trusted. We accomplish this through secret shopping, product testing, and forming relationships with industry leaders. As a watchdog organization, we work to ensure best practices that hold the cannabis industry to high ethical standards. If a business is found to be unethical, members quickly form an action to demand that the business in question is doing the right thing. Through boycotts, press conferences, media, picketing, support lists, and other strategies, we work to bring attention to questionable behavior to demand that all cannabis businesses are operating in a manner that puts the consumer first.
