• We offer five programs:1. Landscape Technicians Certificate training - a 12 week NYS ETA Certified training for adults which is specific to the field of horticulture (our original program)2. Horticulture at the MC Correctional Facility - an abbreviated program based on the LTC offered three times a year to inmates3. GED - in partnership with RCSD we offer three sections of GED class on-site five days a week at our office4. WEP Works - on contract with MC Department of Human Services to work with recipients of public assistance who are required to work in exchange for their benefits. Many attend GED class as part of their WEP assignment, all are required to work at area nonprofits. RLTP places them in a work experience and monitors attendance in class and at work. We also provide job readiness workshops and help with job search.5. New Beginnings - our transitional jobs program, designed for young adults 18 - 28 who do not have a high school diploma or GED and are unemployed. Based on a 40 hour work week, participants attend GED class 1/2 day and work the other 1/2 for our social enterprise, Rochester GreenWorx. GreenWorx contracts with public entities and private individuals for landscape and basic construction services. Earned revenue from GreenWorx contracts helps to fund the New Beginnings program. Participants are paid for the hours they work and cannont work if they do not attend class.
