- Focus Environmental, Inc. (Focus) is a small compliance consulting firm dedicated to providing engineering and environmental services to assist our customers achieve regulatory compliance for emissions control. Founded in 1988 and incorporated in 1989, Focus is employee owned. Focus specializes in the permitting, engineering design, and technology evaluation of combustion and air pollution control systems as well as technologies for treatment of liquid and solid wastes, air pollutants and contaminated soils. We offer our clients a unique blend of technical expertise, regulatory compliance insight, risk based process safety analysis, quality system comprehension, and practical hands-on operating experience. Focus has a multi-disciplinary staff with experience that encompasses numerous technologies, products, processes, methods and requirements, including: Environmental Permit Applications and Regulatory Compliance Performance Test Planning, Management, Spiking, Execution, and Reporting Basis of Design, User Requirements, and Engineering Specifications Mass and Energy Balance Modeling Process and Site Studies/Investigations Conceptual and Process Design Packages Process Equipment Design, Procurement, Mobilization, and Erection Risk Analysis Equipment Acceptance Activities Including Factory and Site Acceptance Tests Process Start-up, Shakedown, and Troubleshooting System Operations and Training Remediation Strategy Development. Focus has experience with local, state, and federal regulations including the Clean Air Act (inclusive of MACT, Title V, NESHAPS, NSR and PSD), RCRA, TSCA and CERCLA regulations. Focus has unique capabilities and experience with treating contaminated soils with mobile thermal technologies. Focus remediation services include site investigations, treatability testing, remedial design, remedial action oversight, equipment design and troubleshooting. Focus provides ambient air monitoring services.
