• The Family & Learning Center provides a unique type of tutorial intervention called Educational Coaching. All of our sessions are one-on-one and focus on teaching the student how to learn. We offer remediation programs to assist students in strengthening areas of weak cognitive processing, as well as strategic learning instruction in which students are taught meta-cognitive strategies for approaching their school work. Educational Coaching blends educational practices with neuropsychological theory. Each students curriculum is customized in order to effectively meet the needs of the whole individual, based on the students unique cognitive make-up, emotional needs, and educational needs. We pride ourselves in establishing a warm, caring environment where students feel secure in learning to overcome their academic obstacles. In our one-on-one sessions, students build rapport with their carefully selected Educational Coaches so that learning becomes an enjoyable experience. Through Educational Coaching, students develop the skills necessary to become effective and efficient life-long learners. Our students have gone on to great achievements in academic and work careers.
