By using volunteer labor and many donated materials, Habitat is able to do what no other government or corporate entity can do--leverage and multiply every dollar raised and every ounce of energy donated. Our home-ownership program has become a critical part of a comprehensive solution to the crisis of poverty housing in the Greater Newburgh area. By working together--volunteers, corporations, congregations, individual supporters, and homeowner families--the cycle of poverty housing can be broken, neighborhoods rebuilt, and communities revitalized.
