- Ride Illinois is the statewide advocate for all Illinois bicyclists, promoting bicycle access, education and safety. Ride Illinois' objectives are to: maintain and increase access to public facilities for bicycles to enhance use for transportation, exercise and recreation; educate bicyclists and motorists about their mutual rights and responsibilities; educate bicyclists on safe cycling practices; develop a public policy structure at all levels of government throughout the state which gives voice to the needs of bicyclists; and increase the organizations impact and effectiveness through membership growth, improved communications and active liaisons with allied organizations.
