- The history of Magnetrol® dates to 1932 as a Chicagobased manufacturer of boiler systems. The first MAGNETROL level control was born when the founding company, Schaub Systems Service, needed a controller for its boiler systems. From there, MAGNETROL level and flow products evolved from mechanical and electro-mechanical devices to todays microprocessor-based controls. MAGNETROL controls advance the processes that bring nearly every product into our lives: petrochemicals, energy, clean water, pharmaceuticals, foods, beverages, chemicals, and thousands of allied products.MAGNETROL level and flow controls transform industrial process measurement. Our conventional and electronics-based instruments make measurement more intelligent, more reliable and far more simplified to set up and operate than was ever possible. Our product portfolio of ten different technologies has evolved as a result of our meeting every conceivable measurement challenge for 80 years.Corporate offices and manufacturing facilities 25 miles southwest of Chicago in Aurora, Illinois serve as the hub for all MAGNETROL operations and for those of our subsidiaries. Here we are guided by a relentless commitment to the principles of product innovation, continuous operational improvement, and a level of customer service that leads the industry.
