Description

• Hoowaki, LLC solves friction problems by designing micro surfaces. We sell the service of applying the surfaces to molds, dies and rolls so that our customers can manufacture plastic or rubber articles with improved performance. We are sell specialized metal tools such as multi-directional sewing dogs with extreme grip to fabric and MicroGrip Bio Gripping pads used by the bio process industry. Our micro surfaces are designed to either make surfaces easy sliding, to eliminate stickiness and stick slip, or to deliver extreme gripping force. We can do this for almost any material pair coming together at an interface. For example between slippery PTFE and smooth stainless steel we can deliver a friction coefficient at any desired level between 0.02 and 2 without use of any chemicals or coatings.Typical applications are to eliminate coatings and lubricants from molded rubber medical devices such as seals and septums; or to reduce friction of thermoplastic tubing used in vascular catheters; or to give high grip to an implanted stent without damage to tissue. We primarily serve customers making medical devices, packaging, sports and recreational equipment and industrial devices.Do you have a friction problem we can solve?
