Norris Public Power District is the proud provider of wholesale and retail electric service to over 18,000 customers in 44 communities located in five counties in southeast Nebraska. We serve Gage, Jefferson, Lancaster, Saline and Thayer counties and provide reliable and affordable energy service to our customers while working hard to be active participants in the communities we serve. We are committed to stimulating economic growth, aiding community development and improving the quality of life in rural areas by assisting in projects that create and retain employment opportunities. We pride ourselves in providing affordable energy rates and the highest quality of services which enable our customers to achieve their ultimate business and personal goals. The Norris District has direct access to interstate, highway and railway shipping and is within a short distance from Lincoln Municipal Airport and Eppley Airfield in Omaha. The existing industries in our service area are willing to continue expansion of their Nebraska facilities because they enjoy the low rates, high power quality and excellent service, and also benefit from the pro-business climate in southeast Nebraska. The Norris District foresees the future of the electric industry changing with the push for more renewable energy sources.
