• Hairprint is a small science-based company in Sausalito, California that was co-founded by two women, Elizabeth Lindsey and Jasmine Scalesciani. Jasmines husband is Paul Hawken, the writer and environmentalist, who introduced them to Hairprints inventor, Dr. John Warner. All four people have devoted their lives to human health and environmental restoration. Elizabeth Kapuuwailani Lindsey was born and raised in Hawaii by traditional Hawaiian elders. In 2008 she became the first Polynesian explorer and female Fellow in the history of the National Geographic Society. Jasmine is a sought-after expert in cleansing the body. She has worked with A-list celebrities, fortune 500 entrepreneurs and professional athletes to optimize their results and bring healing through her knowledge and passion for botanicals and their restorative properties for the body.When Hairprint began, we wanted to create a company that made a difference on many levels. We believe that the act of enhancing ones beauty or, in the case of men, ones good looks, is an ancient human practice. At the same time, we believe in the sanctity of the body and the earth, so we wanted to create and offer products that were truly different. We also wanted to do something for the generations to come. We have a culture where our authentic beauty as women is seen as inadequate, that we need to do, buy, or apply more products and treatments in order to be beautiful. We dont think beauty can be obtained that way. We came up with two simple mottos for the company. One, if a women wants to enhance her beauty she should be safe. And two, if you want to make a girl beautiful, provide her with an education. When searching for investors for the company, we found an extraordinary one (we only have one), a non-profit foundation that is devoted to the education of girls in the developing world. Because of this relationship with our investor, 20% of our profits will go to young women throughout the world.
