- An Extra Hands purpose is to make your life easier by taking care of any type of odd job or household task that needs to get donedone rightand done now. The idea for An Extra Hand originated during summer 2015 in Wellesley, MA, a suburb outside of Boston. We needed a summer job to support our college (and girlfriend) related expenses. With our previous professional moving and local landscaping experiences, we decided to start our own odd jobs business using our own trucks, utilities and equipment and referred to it as An Extra Hand that summer season. In 2016, we commercialized and built An Extra Hand into a full-time service by introducing innovative scheduling features and one stop shop website. Our experienced team of 20+ workers hustles around the clock to ensure satisfaction.
